WCSA Annual Tournament

Western Counties Soccer Association

Soccer Festival -- Saturday July 22, 2017

Our Annual Mini and Youth Soccer Festival will be held at Tillsonburg Minor Soccer Club on Saturday, July 22, 2017.

Entry forms and rules are now available and are posted below.

This event is a "free entry" event for WCSA registered players only.   It is funded by the members of the Western Counties Soccer Association.

The registration deadline is Wednesday, July 12th, 2017.

This is an annual "friendly, fun event", no trophies, no scores are kept.

This location has a great facility that can accommodate large groups with lots of fields, a covered patio, a snack bar and proper washroom facilities.

The tournament usually runs from 9 a.m. till about 4 or 5 p.m., depending on the number of teams and divisions entered.

Lunch for players and coaches is provided by WCSA.   All players and coaches also receive a token gift for coming out.   Players and coaches are representing their club, good behaviour and sportsmanship is expected.

There will be a Skills testn for the players provided by Tillsonburg Minor Soccer, with prizes for the winners, provided by WCSA.    Coaches should gather your team between games and give it a try.  There will be small prizes for the Top scorer on each team.   Please limit your attempts to one per player so that everyone has a chance to participate.

Parents and siblings can purchase lunch at the canteen or bring a picnic.   Sorry, no BBQ's.

If it's really hot out, there will be a sprinkler going that anyone can run through to cool down.   Bring your lawn chairs, sunscreen and sun umbrellas or canopies, plus lots of water to drink and maybe a towel to dry off after running through the sprinklers.     There are garbage cans conveniently located throughout the site, please use them.   There is also a Water Park located a few blocks away, should your team end up with a lot of time to fill between games or if parents have younger siblings attending, that need a diversion.

If you are a coach from a WCSA member club and your team is interested in coming out; but you are concerned that your team may be short at that time due to family vacations, call-ups from within your own club are allowed.  No guest players from another club or higher level, competitive players are allowed.   Players must be registered to and insured by WCSA.

Non-WCSA member house-league teams (no competitve teams or players allowed) may enter at a cost of $15 per player and coach, payment must be received at WCSA office by July 12th to hold a spot in a division.  This cost covers insurance, meal and tokens, referees, etc. for the day.
